Comments: Biometrically opposed

I have no idea why anyone believes this will make us more secure. Those with a reason to hide will find ways to hide, while the rest of us completely sacrifice something which most will only mourn once it is irretrievably gone.

But what do I know? I'm just a commie pinko libertarian.

Precisely. Even that Economist article missed the main point and that is once you've either passed all the tests - or have stolen someone else's identity - you're pretty much free to do what you want. And as for the person who has lost (had stolen) his/her identity ... well sayonara baby! There is NO ultimate security. It doesn't exist. Not now. Not tomorrow. Not ever.
