Nothing to add. This city must be an architect's dream, but that's hardly an original thought.

My step-father, an architect, tells me that Chicago is all about architecture and New York is all about interiors. Is Chicago the last leg of your trip, or are you going to hit the east coast too?
Posted by: Ed at June 26, 2003 09:15 PMI've been trying to avoid any comparisons with New York (possibly my favourite city in the world), but I think your step-father may have hit the proverbial nail on the head. There seems to be a greater variety of styles and shapes. I love the contrasts in brick colour and facades and there is more room to appreciate everything as well.
No visit to the east coast. That would have been very nice. No, back to L.A. tomorrow evening and then back to Japan soon thereafter.
