In Life of Pi our young hero and tiger trainer extraordinaire, Piscine Molitor Patel, (gotta hand it to that boy's father!) says, "If you took the city of Tokyo and turned it upside down and shook it, you'd be amazed at all the animals that would fall out: badgers, wolves, boa constrictors, Komodo dragons, crocodiles, ostriches, baboons, capybaras, wild boars, leopards, manatees, ruminants in untold numbers". We all know he is right. Of course, in New York you don't even have to bother to turn the place upside down. In what a policeman in the city termed "an only-in-New-York story", we give you a house in Harlem that Pi Patel would have been comfortable in.
