Posted by Joe at March 30, 2004 11:59 PMIn the past in the US, the ability to travel anonymously through public places was not only taken for granted, it was a protected right (unreasonable search and seizure).
I assume the day will come when technology gives us back the privacy that technology is now taking from us. But I note that the technology which takes our privacy away is the stuff that's getting all the government money.
